Born in the
Clerkenwell district of London,
England in 1849. Entered the Royal Academy Schools and
started exhibiting there in 1872. Married Emily Eliza Davies. In
the 1890's The Royal Watercolour Society was his prime
exhibition arena. Became Vice-president of the Royal
Watercolour Society from 1901-1903. In 1913 he moved to St.
Albans and died on April 23rd 1914.
